So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I really, really like this car. I don't think it will fetch 25k but it's still very nice.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

leeds/wakefield.

two geniune 1275 S engines, correct gearboxes,

as tjhose who have seen it will testify ,it is pretty much perfect and most certainly a much more worthy candidate for its asking price than some of the other minis that have be3en hawked around for similar money,

its deffinatly one for a rich mans collection no doubt about it and i hope the seller gets the kind of money he deserves,

I remember seeing an article on this car some 10 years back it it look amazing then, it's good to know that it's still around and been well looked after.

EDIT: Apologies I think I've got it confused with another twin engined Cooper S.

I read about a green Twini in Car and Car Conversions magazine, nearly 20 years ago

This one was featured in MiniWorld Jan 2001 but used to be red

I seriously doubt it!

I remember it at Avon. It flew down the track much quicker than I was expecting.

I'm pretty sure it will fetch the £25k or very close.

Yes Carl, it was on Miniworld front cover January 2001 the month before mine. I remeber chatting to him 12 years ago at stanford Hall. I asked him to be sure aswell

EDIT Actually after reading the listing it seems I may be wrong, though at avon he did say it was the old red car. Im confused!

If it used to be red, I saw it at a British Mini Club day at Curborough about 12 years ago.

Spoke to him at Stanford, pretty sure this is a new version, he seems to enjoy building them and sells almost straight away to make another. The twin engine thing was something they tried at the factory and I believe there was a fairly serious accident involving one and the idea was shelved. It is a lovely piece of kit and when you compare it to something like a MK1 Escort that can fetch similar money its well worth it. Will probably end up in a collection or out in America/Japan!
