Kindly Nic has just answered my question, yes you can use a standard tank with turrets, but the tank needs to modifed with a big hammer *Clapping* *Clapping* *Clapping* *Clapping*

I am going to start this in the next weeks and was thinking of doing a How to on it mate.

I have seen the info in the mini mag as a starting point.

I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

Nothing is impossible it just costs more and takes longer.

What diameter tube are you planning on using? 4" seems popular, but ive found some 3 1/4" OD tube, would result in less modification to the tank.

I was looking for some 4'' but then i was thinking of just making it up on the roller i am not to sure.

Kad have told me to do it and spin the shock absorbers round, so that the offset at the top is the other way round, which will give me a better shocker angle and gives you clearance around everything.

so i will have to see.

I agree graham, ive got the coilovers fitted on my car at the moment and they just clear the arch, so im tempted to not to turret them.

What makes it better? The arc of standard radius arms is at 90° to the offset that would give, with McPhearson struts or double wishbones I can see the thinking, but with radius arms..?

it does make sense, the damper will lean over at the top slightly, and if you had any sort of negative camber it would then put the top and bottom mount on a similar axis/plain of movement. thats how i understand it anyway.
