Get keys to new house tomorrow, looking at sealing the garage floors with 50/50 mix pva then two part garage floor paint painted over the top, was also thinking about 50/50 mix pva on the walls.

At the risk of sounding like a muppet, is floor paint alone not enough? one day boost will be mine!

I did PVA my floor and then used Leyland floor paint from screwfix. Worked fine. For the walls I just used the cheapest white paint I could find. Mind you the concrete blocks just sucked up the paint. Well worth it though. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

I applaud the PVA plus paint, but cheap emulsion paint on the walls is enough, and white helps with keeping the light levels up. |

You don't need to pva the floor unless it says on the tin

i work at a chemical plant that produces different forms of laytex and we use one of them to mix with paint for this very reason best to use the cheapest paint you can and do a 50/50 mix lasts for years one guy painted the out side of his house about ten year ago and he says it still looks like new. i can get you some if you would like Done now needs redoing lol |

i used an oil based floor paint off ebay ,30 quid for 20 litres ,did a first coat 50/50 with white spirit, then one more with just paint .looks good , i'll find out how well it lasts !at least i have half of it left over . Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM |

I can't comment on the floor (I never did mine) but I would highly recommend cheap white emulsion paint for the walls (as others have suggested) rather than PVA. Emulsion paint is PVA based anyway but having all the walls white really does improve working conditions under artificial light. Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

i used pva to seal the concrete floor first then anti-slip paint from screwfix, im going to have to re-paint it soon as a lot of it has come up , but thats after 2 years of abuse |

hay i went in a mate unit the other day and he put down second hand carpet tiles from an office or some where. they were cheaper then floor paint he said, and it make the place feel warm and nice to work on, it you have a spill you just lift up a tile! I likes it. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

I got a load of them from work when the gym was getting done up, it was well nice to work in there and it made the whole place warmer also i just moped it out every week. Well worth the cash if i had to buy them.
