just a quick question, richard has kindly helped me out sorting the bits for my new box and i have some sc gears and drops on the way soon they are in a 1:1 ratio so he said whatever diff i put in will be the final drive ratio, i'm after 3.1 can i just ring up and ask for a cross pin diff with this ratio bit confused |

The diff is a different thing to the final drive. The diff itself does not alter the gearing, what you need is a crown wheel and pinion. These two gears are what alter the final drive ratio.

You just need to get a x pin diff and bolt up your crownwheel (from 3.1diff) on to it. -MINI CLUBMAN 1380 TURBO- |

make sure you get the minispares cross pin diff as not all the others are as good! Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
