im planning on using a maestro plenum chamber when iput the intercooler in, but the outlet on it is massive compared to the metro one and also compared to the 2" pipe im going to be using, sure i can use a reducer to take the size down but is it going to cause any problems? im thinking along the lines of lag?

I used a reducer with a monty plenum and haven't noticed any problems - I don't expect it'll increase the volume of your intercooler setup so much it'd make much odds.

The Montego, Maestro and Metro plenums are all the same aren't they ? They all use the same carb.

I think they are meaning the adaptor that bolts onto the plenum to which the boost hose attaches?

You can use the intercooler connection on your Metro plenum yes. Escort series 2 is supposed to be the better intercooler, the black one with the plastic end tanks.
