I need one for my this winter upgrades I asked benross to sort me an engine but not sorted a gear box yet. I will be doing a build thread in about month just getting some bits together first.

I've seen the after market one's on ebay but not sure if they are any good. Done quite abit of searching but nothing really

I suggest that you start by looking at Saab breakers - but be prepared to have to do a rebuild on one anyway.

eBay - there are a couple of Saab breakers on eBay as well as private sales.

As David says, even if advertised as good, expect a rebuild - bearing/seal kits can be got for ~£30.

It might be just my bad luck but I've had three GT17**s apart in the last month and, in addition to other faults, the sleeve bearing was shot on all of them to varying degrees.

The good news is the bearing and seals are a lot easier to change than on a T series.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

We must have been lucky then. Got an £80 Gt1752 of ebay, butchered the flange and stuck it on. Been fine ever since.
