Thats not reverse, thats on the main shaft, reverse and its shaft are directly above the part you have circled,

Looks to me to be the layshaft and reverse shaft locking plate. The one with the single bolt hole that fits behind the third motion shaft bearing retainer?

I sent out two locking plates the other day. They do have a little wear on them but don't they all? I selected two of the best for you :)
