hi guys,

after a complete rebuild of my short block and gearbox, am at the point i want to start the car..

set out early today, almost got it to start in the beginning but after that it was all down hill. i got fresh fuel, didn't mess with the carb and cylinder head. put in new cam,new big and main bearing, new oil pump, new rings etc etc...so now im wondering if the dizzy is on right, in the bill solis dvd he says put it in pointing to 11 o'clock, but i read on forums and in the haynes, i think. that it should point to 2 o clock. so which is it? i put it in pointing to eleven. im wondering if this is my problem....

any help greatly appreciated...

cheers

Top right plug should point at no 1 cylinder.

Any oil you used on the bores and rings while rebuilding will be just burning off.
