No. The best option is to buy/have made an exhaust manifold that will allow the turbo to fit behind the block without any modification to the bulkhead.

depends... A bulkhead box is almost certainly the cheapest way of getting a turbo engine into a mini, although not necessarilly the best (see wil_h post above)
And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers! |

Im fitting one to mine, but then again ive already cut the front end off. I think it was looked at in mini mag about these tests, and its really only major things they will pull you up on, such as fitting a v8 or something silly sized. Basically anything considered to be a 'major' alteration. At the end of the day, rover fitted them to the ERA, so whos to say it cannot be done, unless someone really wants to be a pita. Personally, if my car was untouched id fit a mirage, if its under resto id fit a box. On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:
