Thats exactly what happened to my 998t at castle Combe this year!! I have the very same hole in block, I also a mirror in the head. It wasn't lean, running less than 12afr. On 7th Nov, 2011 apbellamy said:

Will I have to be honest there is none, the mini got evicted form the workshop so I could repair the 200 and hasnt made it back in yet. Ive been on a parts sourcing mission but untill Ive finished refitting the bathroom Im not going start on it.
