*tongue* hi my name is dean i am new to this site i have a mg metro turbo the fuel pump is working of a battery but the wires going to the pump are dead can you help me out thanks dean :)

hi thanks for your reply i have check the relay it is working and i have put a new oil pressure switch in and new oil and new oil filter thanks dean

There's also the resistor thingy that drops the voltage to the pump. not sure where it is on the car

Is your new oil pressure switch the correct one for a Metro Turbo ???

IIRC, the Metro Turbo has a switch with the contacts the opposite way around to every other engine in the world (because it controls the fuel pump).

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

to elaborate on what rod said,

IIRC the metro turbo only activates the fuel pump when there is oil pressure, try pulling the spade off and shorting it to the block and see if the pump cuts in *wink*
