Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

heads are virtually the same cc's (in theory!) so isnt going to make any CR difference.

MG metro engines are too high CR to just whack the turbo on.

Dont think there are any pro's!

Problem with turbo's is that they need to have a good build for them to be nice and reliable. you cant just bodge them together otherwise you get problems.

I wouldnt be worried about using the mg metro head on a turbo at all. If anything it may breathe slighty better (cant quite remember).

The OE valves are good quality and as a few people have found out turbo ones have been known to part the head and stem...

Not very sunny swanage

mg metro heads have bigger valves...... not sodium filled tho like you say.... only pro i can think of is the mg cam is aparently very simmilar to a phase 2 cam? compression is only 0.2 higher that a turbo lump tho isnt it? (turbo 9.2, mg 9.4? could be wrong?)

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

My sister is so fit I won't show anyone her picture

Lake District

Turbo compression 9.4-1, nat asp MG 10.5-1. Only the leaded cylinder head had a larger inlet valve, the unleaded version was smaller apparantly.

Pretty sure though the MG metro leaded and unleaded CR's were different. Really should look in my haynes but its downstairs!

It would make sense the unleaded ones being lower compression because 4 star has a higher octane rating so less chance of knocking with the higher compression.
