Price range up to about 6k as its needed for work as well, the pug hdi engines i have never had a problem with but the renault dci i have, the other draw back for me is im looking for low tax as well and high mpg the toyota engines i have seen arent much better than the pug (slightly older ones) and i honestly havent ever seen a deisel swift.

Ibiza and polo are highest on my list atm, though i do quite like the corsa and fiesta but again reliability.

Paul.

My girlfriend is just about to put her 37k '07 turbo diesel Corsa up for sale if you're interested. It's mint.

It does about 65 to the gallon and being the 90 brake version it goes like stink. Think tax is somut like £90 a year and that's getting renewed at the end of October in a few days time. MoT is due in May next year but it flew through the one this year as it just doesn't do anything like high mileage.

Think she's looking at £6k as the plan is to sell that and put it towards a used T5 to carry the motorbikes on holiday.

If you're interested, drop me a PM or call me on 07719714999.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Citroen C2/C3 1.4 hdi is the DV4 engine produced by FMC and PSA, good little engine, very torquey, only problem with them is the injector seals are prone to failure at some point, but it's an easy job to fix (and cheap).

The engine is also in lots of other cars, I have a Mk6 Fiesta with the engine, done 30k miles in it and only problems were the injector seals and a noisy idler! £30 a year road tax and they can be picked up in decent condition for less than £2000. 70mpg, No regrets my end!

The 1.6 (DV6) I don't know much about

Due to an over estimation on money side of things by about 1500 quid ;-S due to some unforceen things coming up and not being able to find a low milage deisel and finding out about a pay rise im going to stick with a petrol car and for the sort of millage that i do it would only come through working out cheaper after a fair while as the price of deisel is quite high.

Renault 1,2 TCE 100 in something like a Clio 3 ?

Or maybe the Pug 1,6 THP engine in anything that gets fitted with it ?
It's the engine Pug develloped under BMW supervision and gets fitted in the Bini's so it must not be too bad ...

Actually, I will probably replace my DCi 120 Megane Estate with a TCe 100 Clio 3 Estate at some point as I don't do enough mileage to keep it healthy (and the bigger the car, the more crap you carry anyway)
