Didn't we use to have an active topic at one point with 'broken / Fubar'd component' pictures???

that was my standard turbo engine, the one that i threw in and it lasted 6 weeks *happy*

it was a combination of me not knowing what i was doing, heavy right foot, no boost gauge, no RR setup, and i think the actuator pipe had fallen off *happy*

basically just the typical newbie throw it in and rag it mistake. lesson well and truly learned now though!

I take it thats pretty severe detonation then? .. either that or you had bits of turbo flying up the inlet *tongue*

This was the idler wheel of my first 1275-engine. It sounded like a straight-cut gearbox. *wink*
The clearance was a little bit too big...
