Well,
I think that the clutch is dead (doesn't really separate anything no more),
But i want to see if i need to take the engine off or not, because its hard to reach.
If its complicated ill wait for the engine renovation that is due date :), but could take a while (couple of months)

Thanks,

Apparently, I'm Wrong :[

It can be done in the car. Have you not got a workshop manual? This describes the process. You will need a flywheel puller.

It can be done in place with inner wings i believe, although a pain in the ass.
I did mine without inner wings and removable front, wasn't a bit of bother.

Took me 5 hours to pull the clutch, change the primary gear and oil seal on mine night before the RR day. Reckon I would have been quicker taking the engine out!

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Clutch is easy with the engine in if the flywheel decides to come off nicely. If it is any bother is is difficult to get a good swing at it. Apart from that there is plenty of room. I have done it couple of times on my 1990 mini with the big servo master cylinder in the way.

I've done it in a servo'd car, in the dark. It wasn't too bad.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

It's easy enough in-situ....as long as the bottom back 2 bellhousing bolts arent in place lol

And assuming the flywheel doesnt seize on.

These were one of the biggest ball aches of mine. And that the flywheel puller was so big that it didn't fit between the flywheel and inner wing.

wok wise ,slot the back hole and leave the bottom bolt out .

You think the clutch is dead as it doesn't disengage any more? Surely there is another problem there?

With autocross minis we used to roll them on their sides for easier access for jobs like these !

Somewhere around Swindon

Should take no more than a couple of hrs, you will need a flywheel puller and a nice long breaker bar will help

I leave both of them out !!

and weld nuts onto the engine mount itself, although I think mounts are available these days with nuts already affixed.
