iv just finished timing my cam in and just want to make sure i had done it correct before i build the rest up and have to start again, i read Toms guid and the haynes and the holy bible( vizards book) as i havent done it before so i found top dead centre on number one pistion using my dial gauge u put my timing protractor on the crank turned 110 degrees clockwise (to the right if looking at gears) all lined up with my zero mark. i reset the dial guge on the inlet pushrod (number one cylinder) and found maxiumum lift set my verier gear to this and hay presto?? is this correct or have i set it wrong? Done now needs redoing lol |
