Just wondering if any of you would care to comment on the spec of my engine, e.g any oversights or short comings, things i may have forgot etc.

The spec is as follows:

START FROM THE TOP
1.5 RATIO HIGHLIFT ANODIZED ROLLERTIP ROCKERS
HIGHLIFT ROCKER COVER
FULLY REBUILT CARBURETTOR WITH ALL ESSENTIALS IT NEEDS
STAGE 4 GAS FLOWED PORTED CYLINDER HEAD
CYLINDER HEAD BOLT DOWN KIT
UPRATED HEAD GASKET AND SPARE
286 FAST ROAD KENT CAM SHAFT
BELT DRIVE KIT
BRAND NEW BLOCK
FULLY LIGHTENED AND BALANCED
4 BOLT CENTRE MAIN CAP FITTED
TUFTRIDED, KNIFE EDGED CRANKSHAFT
THE ENGINE IS COMPLETE WITH VANDAVEL BEARINGS
BRAND NEW T3 TURBO
10 PSI ACTUATER
FIAT COUPE TURBO INTERCOOLER
ALLOY 19 ROW OIL COOLER
STRAIGHT CUT LEYLAND ST DROP GEARS
STRAIGHT CUT 4 SPEED LEYLAND ST GEARBOX
TWIN CROSS PIN DIFF
CENTRAL OIL PICKUP PIPE
UPRATED RADIATOR

i ask because i just read a topic saying that a 286 camshaft is not suited to a turbo car. Just wondering if anything else on this list could be suspect!

You make NO mention of the pistons you intend to use?
Also I think the consensus is not to use 1.5 rockers unless your looking for BIG numbers and with just 10psi I don't think you are to begin with.
4 bolt main is nice but a bit OTT when a strap should do fine.
The 286 cam is not recommended try the Avonbar turbo cam instead along with adjustable timing gear.
And the Brand New Block is not needed unless you've come across one on the cheap. Get yourself a GOOD manky old 1275 A+ block and exchange it for a nice clean +20 bored unit.
What is a stage 4 head and from who? In my opinion a head with 36/32 valves would be more than up to the job if you have the cash.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.

Sorry, didn't quite explain this properly.

I bought the engine some time ago. The spec i listed is as it was sold to me. The previous owner had it in a metro, and was running it at 15 psi getting approx 180bhp out of it. He'd only ran it for 1500 miles and then had to sell it due to personal cicumstances.

Its already built, and partway to being installed in my mini.

Just wanted to see what opinions people had of it.

I bought it this way as the price i payed was very cheap!!

What static compression ratio is the engine?
