Carb - Missing Fuel-In Pipe?

Hi,

I have a turbo carb (well it was sold to me as a turbo carb)

I'm looking for the fuel in pipe, and I'm comparing it to the pics I found on this forum, but it seems my pipe is missing. would you have a look and see what you think?

Yes, it's missing the stub for the hose to connect to.

Thanks for confiming that for me, do you know where i can get a replacment from?

I would either pull one from another carb and glue it in or drill and tap it for a screw in fitting. If you do that, you will need to make sure you give the carb a good clean afterwards.

If you're not intending on using the ani run on take off. (the one visible in your photo) you could pinch that one and use a grub screw to block that off.

Would the anti run on take off just pull out with mole grips?

Possibly, but I would put something inside it to stop it collapsing if you try it.

It might do, but more than likely there will be some kind of locktite also holding it in, so you may need to heat it.

To be honest you're better off tapping the fuel hose hole and putting a threaded fitting in there. If you remove the anti run on pipe then, you'll only have to tap a thread in that to bung it up.
