I am just having some re-profiled bonnet hinges made up which raise the rear lip of the bonnet up around an inch to allow for better cooling/airflow. They replace the standard hinges as can be seen here. These are the prototypes and the finished articles will have some fancy slots cut into them to look a bit fancy and save a few ounces *wink* Initial batch will be in mild steel at 15.00 per pair but will also be having some polished stainless items made up.

I would say no.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I think they will be different. I'd be interested in a set of standard height ones. might be able to get the standard hinge of my car for you (how do they come of??)

Some light weight aluminium ones would probably sell quite well on here. :)

Just looking at the DSN classics site. Their clubman hinges are different to round nose ones and they say that the round nose do not fit clubmans. Looks like yours are no good for me.

I can confirm theyre different after trying to fit saloon hinges to a clubman

I seriously doubt it!

Should be able to sort one tomoro, the one I tried was a new set a mate had just bought for their clubby so she will be a bit pissed off that they are saloon ones!

Without trawling through my back catalogue of Mini Worlds, does anyone else remember the long article a year or so back about the Mini in the windtunnel at MIRA ?

I'm sure there is a high pressure area at the bottom of the windscreen that make raising the bonnet utterly pointless once you are moving...

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.
