You would need a wideband controller as well as that only reads a 0-5v signal |

Odd they are claiming it's anything to do with wideband, when they state it takes a signal from the cars factory 02 sensor, which in most cases is narrowband.

http://14point7.com/Products.php This your best bet for the cheapest wideband stuff. Requires some assembly if you want to save even more cash though. For the time being, I would advise against 14point7 I've followed this route but have had mixed results from the owner of the company. From very helpfull to downright rude when a problem is mentioned. The forum is littered with spam which he doesn't seem to care about and, at the moment, he doesn't seem interested in resolving a fundamental problem (upgrading the firmware). So, although this is my own experience so far, I would suggest you consider other options at the moment. Technically the 14point7 stuff is a very good bit of kit, but currently being let down by the owner's attitude to customers. Just my opinion, but from personal experience :) Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

Narrowbands work perfectly for monitoring stiochiometric, ie 14.7:1, Lambda 1 etc

Narrowbands are used by OEMs to keep the catalytic converter working correctly. Other than that, they're not very useful.
