This is way off topic, does any one know how I work out how many roof tiles I need for my new garage roof? If anyone can help, I can email them a drawing, beers waiting!!!

Not very sunny swanage

what tiles are you using? sizes and type? work out how many tiles you need per square metre, then work out how many square metres the roof is then multiply the two......

by far the hardest part is worlking out how many tile you need per square metre, if you are matching an existing building then you can measure and count, if not it is slightly more tricky.....

what tiles are you using? clay? slate? concrete? size?

slate, i have no idea about........ big concrete ones are easy (the interlocking ones) , you just find out the size and bobs your uncle. (they dont overlap, just lock together). smaller concrete and clay tiles are trickier because of their overlap.....

email or pm me with the details and ill see if i can help you out if you want?

Pete

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!
