You need to look at the watts and multiply it by 3

55 watt bulb about 17amp

1.5mm 20 amp fuse

I am looking to install a digital Temp gauge, I have found one on eBay for a reasonable price, how ever the sender unit supplied with it typically won't fit, does anyone know if the existing sender unit will work with a digital gauge? i am unsure on the signals they send, i am sure someone will know.

Back, again!!

So, I’ll keep it short, started this when I was 24 looking back on my posts, haven’t touched it since 2013 and I’m now 30, with a 2 year old son and a house and I want to get this going again!

It’s still sat in the same spot, same condition!

First job, re paint / spray the subframes.

Painted subframes first time around, was ok but paint has since chipped off since being moved around workshop.

Was now thinking of spraying them with hammerite thinned down through the compressor, building subframes back up and then getting it rolling.

Any thoughts on if spraying with hammerite is a good idea or alternative would be great!

Hoping I can nail it this time and actually get this done!

P.s.is there an iPhone App that works with this forum?

Cheers, Jamie

Welcome back.

Hammerite is pretty naff these days! Por15 seems popular on subframes.

There's not an app that I'm aware of.

Thank You :)

Yeah hammerite doesn’t seem to have done the job, I have briefly checked out POR15 but can’t see if they do it in different colours.

POR15 the prep has to be right for it to take properly. They do a few different products, in addtion to the one most people use for subframes they do a top coat to. That you can put on top for further protection

Ended up sending them for Powder coating, £130 for the pair which was sandblast and coating. Went for Black with a semi gloss in the end as want to take this back to original factory yellow colour 😀
