So Major Update.

Project kick start again, after being covered up for years at my mum and dads, me having a son, buying a house and another little’un due in December I will not be completing this!

Major change is it will be being moved around to my neighbours who is going to help me finish it.

Most importantly in will be going back to original hard top and colour again 😀

Stay tuned as hoping the progress will be quicker than it has ever been on this thread soon.

Cheers, Jamie

Got the subframes back from powder coating, my god what a different in the quality of finish compared to my shoddy brush painted yellow hammerite hahaaa! They now look great in black powder.

Also just realised most of the pictures on this thread have disappeared, so will try and find them and upload again some time 😀

So some progress in what has been years of this car being put to the side and ignored.

What we have been doing;

(The boring stuff in a nut shell)

#1 Moved bits from Dads house to the neighbours and my garage
#2 Sorted the garage fitting bench, insulation and getting the floors painted
#3 PC and network cabling installed for instant google searching, forum posts, parts ordering and possible live streaming on twitch

(The Interesting stuff)

#3 Started sorting through the boxes of bits we have to see
#4 Subframes in for poweder coating and got rid of that awful bodge job Yellow hammerite
#5 Layed out all the running gear and parts to see what I need to get subframes and running gear built up

10 Points if anyone can spot the non mini in the garage!

Bear with me and hopefully the subframes will be built in a couple of weeks.

Need to buy front fitting kit, all parts to rebuild rear brakes plus some other bits and pieces.

Also need to spray all parts again as where they have been sat in the garage they have lost their shine.

Heya bud,

Thanks for comments, slow but steady progress with the odd evening a week in the garage with the neighbour.

Front end gear mainly prepped again and resprayed in satin black (no Hammerite paint this time)

I have a load of gear going out to be zinc and color passivated this week.

Also just put a big order into Minispares of all the parts I can think of to finalise assembling sub frames, so with parts being returned and delivery coming in this lot should start going back together next week.

All bearings are being replaced which is why they weren't masked up.

Also apologies all the old build photos have disappeared from this thread, imageshack decided to destroy them all and I cannot recover.

I will also be re-visiting the body work and welding in coming weeks, with the shoddy bits to be redone properly.

Also this is going back to original hard top! Yippeeee

More soon if you guys are interested
