As the title really, I need a car transporting from Shropshire to Bristol, no Tax/MOT so can't be driven. It looks like it might be too expensive to be worthwhile as I only want it for the interior. Any offers or recommendations very much appreciated. (Hope it's ok to post this here.)

Thanks,

Matt

There's a chap i have used to move my shell who's very local to me in the west mids. Very reasonable price, will do weekends and hes extremely reliable, you tell him to be there and he's there!

May be worth giving him a ring and asking him, matcatsminis (gav) recommended him to me to begin with.

Is it a mini?
I could do it but you are still looking at about £220 as a round trip

Thanks for the replies, I'll look into those suggestions. It's not a Mini, it's an Audi 80 so it's going to be approx 1200kg which makes it too heavy for me to tow with my post 2001 driving license. I know it's not going to be cheap but I've spent 3 years looking for this interior and the guy refuses to sell it separately even if I swap over a complete suitable interior and give him lots of money!

Drive up there with a mate, book Audi into a MOT test at a station close to a scrapyard, drive it there, remove interior, scrap car, drive home with interior.

Interesting suggestion but if I'm going to have to buy a whole car I'd quite like to try and sell it on. It is too good to scrap really, but it hasn't had an MOT for 2 years so I'd have to see if it was worth saving.

I have looked into what I can tow in more detail and it isn't quite as restrictive as I thought, I'd have no problem towing a Mini on a trailer but towing an Audi 80 on a trailer with my Audi 80 quattro wouldn't be legal.

you need a landy or something with a 3.5t tow weight iirc

It can't weigh more than 3500 in total but the combined weight of whatever you are towing can not exceed the unladen weight of the vehicle you are towing it with. That leaves a very limited choice of tow car. I'm going to look into how much it would cost to get a C+E license as doing a B+E test looks like a very expensive way of getting not a lot.
