well i think i have trcked down my problem with the hog, its the pre filter to the pump may not be man enough for the job, it was a ?5 pot top fram filter, with 6mm id inlet and outlet, but seemed to have no resistance when i blew through it before fitting. always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas |

the inlet to the metty fuel pump is 10mm....

I used to run 2 pro purculator glass in-line filters (pre pump) but always thought the pump sounded a bit strange. I replaced these filters with 2 cheap plastic in-line jobbies and the pump immediately sounded better. It also got rid of my intermitant cutting out problem, i feel very lucky to still have an engine as mine has seemed to survive many times being run at 12psi and leaning out due to the restrictive filters i had been using. -MINI CLUBMAN 1380 TURBO- |

yep dave thats what i thought, fitting a injection filter before the pump would cause to much restriction as they are mega fine filters to stop shit jamming up the injectors, i think thats what ill do. always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas |

I took TurboDaves advice and fitted the focus filter ... perfect for the job |

yep just bought one from jayar for £10, but i aint fitted it yet, so watch this space. always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas |
