already seen it on the Highpower board, this is not a nitrous engine explosion as you should have noticed but it us an inlet plenun backfire,
according to trev [the wizard] the nos systems hit hard with the nitrous first causing a leen out, maybe taking a plug which can cause a scattered spark which in turn can cause these inlet explosions, which is all it is , the ignition of the mixture in the inlet tract. the engine its self will have taken no damage at all ,now if you have noticed my rear engine ,i have fitted aan air box [ daves idea], so if i get a nitrous burp and the inlet charge is ignited the same thing will happen to me ,IE the air box will depart from my carb with a bang,

for those who saw Dave struggling with my car at the mini 45 at silverstone last year ,he was not using anty n2o ,as it turned out the ignitions were burning out causing missfiring , had he tried gas and had a big missfire the unburnt charge [oxygen rich] could have been ignited on the next stroke with most of it stillbacked up in the inlet tract resulting in big flames out of the carb.accompinied with a loud bang , as this is vented to atmosphere theres no damage, but contain it and you get the granade effect.
and this is why this perticular car suffered ,as the ignited charge was contained within a sturdy inlet system.

good explanation carl, got me fooled,

why not just squirt liquid oxygen in you woudnt need spark plugs then, but you would spend the next 4 weeks trying to find all the parts to your engine lol.

well to cut a long story short as im totally bollocks for mixing en ton of concrete.

well with lox (liquid o2) it will make the atmosphere so oxygen rich any thing near it which can burn in fact it will with out a ignition source.


eg if you open up a o2 bottle near a oily, greasey rag and the open up the bottle the rag will just catch fire and thats with out using a match.

even better stick some grease down the valve neck, open cylinder then run like fuck before it explodes. lol.

but still to dangarous to be squirted in a car like nos.

i wondered if the gas was put into the engine at to lower a rev and the engine wasn't able to take it all, so it back fired up wards.

yes when you told me about this hoggy i was suprised that it would burn with out a flame:o
