just fired up the mg turbo and noticed that the car is not boosting when i even rev it to 5000rpm
not even the watsegate is making a noise....incar boost did not register either
anyone point me in right direction please also what would be a gd actuator to use
i have the standard turbo but running a high boost carb

You won't get boost revving it on the spot. you need to drive it and make load to make boost.

Have you just been revving it in neutral to 5k or is this whilst driving? Its very difficult to build any boost stood still unless you rev the nuts off it!

You need to check that the wastegate is closing properly on the turbo as that regulates boost pressure via the actuator. The standard actuator is fine for high boost (18psi) of so. But if you change the actuator you can change the characteristics of how and when the turbo comes in.
