Slightly More Southern Rolling Road Day for 2012

I was gutted that I couldn't make it to the propper TM rolling road day. So I thought I would offer to organise a slightly more local (for the more southern member, and northern if they are happy to travel) rolling road day in the new year.

There are two options as far as operators are concerned;

SRE (www.slarkraceengineering.co.uk)- The Slark familly, who know the A series well and truely. Based in Amesbury. KFC is close by....

or

SWICT (www.southwestincartech.co.uk) - Which offer a slightly easier to get to location, based just off of junction 18 of the M4.

I have spoken with SWICT and they are happy to host, and would be the same cost as the other day £40.

I have yet to speak with SRE, but would think they would be as SWICT.

Please let me know what people think, i'd imagine 7-10 cars would be plenty so that everyone gets more than one go on the rollers.

If SRE were the chosen venue then some additional tweeking may be avaliable if there is time, and they run a wideband for fueling. SWICT will be dyno operator only.

Does it have to be a mini? i would love to see the power graph of the clio with its little turbo

Slightly? that's nearly the south coast

the last one was hardly northern! cumbria is the true north!!

I'm definately up for one at slark, I'd like to see how my old engine fares against my new one on the same rollers.

Cumbria is as far north as you can get on the west side - I should know as I was born there -we considered Manchester to be Midlands.

I,m up for a session at Slark, especially if I can get my MJ mapped at the same time.

Ok, well seems like Slark is the chosen operator! And it's the only rolling road I'd take mine to be set up!

I would say a full megajolt setup might not be possible on the day, maybe some updates more plausible.

If your looking for time on the rollers I'll be going on a separate occasion to have mine set up before this event.

I,d be up for a shared day on the rollers as long as I get a bit of notice.

Sooooooo moving this on a bit - I spoke to Neil at SRE yesterday and have tentitively booked the 14th July for this.

I am asking my local club along too to get the numbers up.

It will be £30 a car but £10 of this will be going to a local charity. Neil has kindly dropped his price to accommodate this.

The charity is Greadwood, the rescue abandoned race horses and care for them. It's a small charity and the have a special needs program too - so its a good cause.

I'll speak with mini magazine and try and get some coverage....

If you can get your names down - I'd like a £10 deposit to confirm your place.

I totally forgot about sharing a day, however i could be persuaded to go back and try again for more boost!

Typical, the only weekend in the future I actually have something booked and you choose to put this there! Shame as it would have been nice to get a power output from my old and current engine on the same rollers.
