I was wondering if fitting a smaller oil cooler would affect the oil feed to the bearings in a detrimental way? Just someone said that fitting smaller than a 13 row would cause a restriction.

Any truth in that??

The CSA of the cores in the cooler will certianly be much greater than that of the pipe feeding it so it won't form any increased restriction in the lubrication system

As above. You only go bigger on cooler size to allow it to get rid of more heat energy.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

a six row cooler is more than enough for around 160 bhp

Remember that oil thats too cool is as bad as oil thats too hot so only fit the size oil cooler that is required

I seriously doubt it!

Thanks for the replies guys, yes I understand that. I have an oil temp gauge that'll be fitted to monitor temperature.

I'll get that fitted ASAP
