hi

ive done a bit of a search but coudnt find out what people were using.

im interested in converting the mini to have electric wndows but im not sure i want to pay the £200 plus for the kits without knowing much about them.

so with that, what kits do people use and has anyone used/adapted bits from another car to make a kit up?

ive had a scout on ebay and found this :-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-City-Elect...=item336c31414c

which looks like it could work but im not sure, anyone have any thoughts??

cheers luke

I've got the ebay kit. (for a.mini not a city rover). They're a bit snug in the door, but otherwise good. lighter than a normal regulator too

I got one of the W&P kits second hand on ebay.

The problem with putting leccy windows into the mini is the space inside the door to allow the motor to sit in place and the glass to move freely. The correct kit has the motor sitting down at the base of the door - even then it is a tight fit between the inner and outer panels.

my advice would be to use the correct fitment

I will be removing the kit from mine soon if you're interested?
