I'd suggest getting a different type that have a standard end at the bottom arm and adjustment at the subframe end.

First off, have you managed to set the length to give correct caster? You also have more droop as the rebound buffer is not fitted

I'm sure there are other people using such a design tie bar and four pots without issue. I have Minisport group A tiebars that use a similar design. I chose them beacuse the bar itself is not so bulky, and are on car adjustable. Tiebars these days are just too fat and bulky for my liking.

Check the clearance at ride height

I seriously doubt it!

Had these rods on for a while now with cooper s calipers, I set them to standed by putting them at side of the old tie rod, but would like to have the suspention fully adjustable in time, then will have it all set up right at the garage, had the jack under the ball joint to lift the mini under load but does not make a lot of difference, the tie rods are bulky to me, thats why ive turned them down, I think they look better for it, not made them any weaker at this stage..

A quick update on the tie bars, Ive had the car on all 4s and your right there is no issue with the tie bars at all, theres loads of clearence, panicked about this because of rumers herd about the subject in the past, it only happens when the car is jacked up off its wheels..

That could be a problem if its a road car and has to pass an MOT.

Have you installed the rebound buffer under the top arms and have you yet to fit the dampers?

with dampers, the rebound buffers and the suspension geometry set correctly they still should not touch, even when jacked up

I have fitted the rebound buffers, but have not yet fitted the dampers, so I will fit them and report back.. Thanks for your input.. Alan

My callipers touch the tie bars on full droop, never been an MOT problem though

I seriously doubt it!

My mistake.

They do check for fouling, lock to lock, but they do it with the car on its wheels, not at full droop.
