Doesent that bolt have a fat shoulder on that passes through the straps and into the flywheel?

If so I think its 9/16

So why does everyone make these spacers from steel? Why not aluminium?

I seriously doubt it!

They're hard like shim stock aren't they? Aluminium would surely stretch and break, titanium may be ok though? Paul I guess people don't bother as they are so light due to the thickness already.

Theyre not hard at all, just mild steel. A good grade alloy would be harder than mild steel

I seriously doubt it!
