I work in the aquarium trade and always have a look at what new technology's are being use tho make tanks and improve the keeping of marine fish, I came across this article and thought it would be ideal for using on cars especially as some people say the minis wipers don't do a great job and moan that there is no rear wiper. The process basicly uses candle soot to create a hydrophobic layer on glass, here's the link to the article as it could be a skilled DIY job for someone:

i don't know if it's the same technology, but this kind of thing has been available for 30 years,

Isnt this rainex? the stuff i have currently on my screen. Drove through a storm with my wipers on intermittently cos it was beading off so efficiently David. |

they already use this on conservatories. you never have to clean the glass. EVER (aparently) |

i have Meguiars Plast RX (the plastic equivalant) and it works very well. Previous Engine: 1040cc Morespeed engine, 1275 turbo head T2 Turbo Mirage Manifolds Megajolt
