yep. Made my own steel brackets for the hillclimber. For a road car using the polly bushes is best. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Why is it uncommon? I've found no problems with solid mounting my front subby, in fact it felt a thousand times more responsive! On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

Bushes are easy to make, however every rear subframe I have fitted has always needed the trunnions pulling and tugging to get them to line up with the shell. Solid trunnions will only make this more difficult.

Yes, the fitting is so random that no-one makes metal bushes.

On our Miglia, there are no trunnions, just a simple right angle bracket bolted to the heelboard and welded to the subframe. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

all things considered, Nylon is pretty hard with a Rockwell hardness of around R110 to R120, which is harder than Human bones in most cases. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

I never said Nylon in the first place. I know you can buy lots of nylon or polly ones. I was specific in saying that no-one made METAL ones.
On 11th Dec, 2011 Sprocket said:
So Nylon is not solid then? I think we should be talking about durometer or Brinell, rather than 'solid' since rubber is a solid, but its durometer is toward the lower (soft) end of the scale On 11th Dec, 2011 wil_h said: The link is for Nylon bushes????????
