Hi there all new to all of this so help would be great. iv just bought a metro turbo engine but i would like advise on what gear box to get ( as it did;t have one) and the best diff to use its not going to be used for racing just a run around.

Hello and welcome.

We need to know what your plans are for the engine before we can give advise. How much boost? How much power? Road car or track car or both? etc etc

Hi thanks for the reply i want it for a road car with the odd strip run it wont be going any higher than 7 psi and around 90 - 100 bhp all advise is great *happy*

std gearbox will be fine for that,

usually I'd say get a minispares 4 pin diff, but for 100 hp if your not planing to ause it I reckon you'd be fine with a just a hardened dif pin.

Id say it wont be long til he does abuse it Joe, if funds allow fit a x-pin now in preparation for more boost later on

I seriously doubt it!

4 pin all the way. It's no fun fishing bits of planet gear out of your gear box....

Rebuild a standard box and probably go for s/c drops. It won't be long before you wind the boost up. Boost is addictive.

Also if anyones got one will need any exhaust to fit the turbo system if there is one going other wise will get one made.

If you are running a T3, minispares do a 2" down pipe that mates to most similar sized exhausts.

at the end, Ive just done my down pipe and middle section, got it from mini spares but had to mod the middle section..
