Take a look at this guys, its called the TURBONATOR *snigger*

click me

i spied it on ebay t'other day. Seems to me like its performance gains may be a bit exaggerated? It reminds me of one of those products you find on infomercials at like 3am on sky tv.
what are your opinions?

I would personally say "What a load of bollocks".

But I read an article in one of my dad's Land Rover magazines where they fitted one of these devices (or something very very similar looking) to a turbo diesel Land Rover. They did a back to back 1/4 mile test and it was proved to make a difference? God knows how though.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

To be honest it looks similar to our turbine technology... we swirler the air and fuel together but thats more to create a stable flame anchor than mixing purposes...

can't see how the effect would be maintained through to the point in which the fuel is added,

however if it was placed after the fuel was added i guess it could help with breaking up the droplets, then again a negative effect would be that the vortex would probably force the droplets up against all the walls!!!

anyone know how to do CFD???

South Staffs

I imported a throttle body spacer from the states to fit my honda prelude...

It works on the same principle and has a "rifling" inside that makes the air swirl etc..

It does make a difference in power and response but nothing like those claims lol

The best thing about it is the noise... it makes a right racket and even hisses like a d/v when you let off the throttle

its like this one....... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WD2V
would definately recommend on a N/A car

How about just extending your air filter to the front of the car into direct air or ducting wouldnt it work better? this reminds me of something thats on the adverts during the day on the Bravo channel....

Reads "my mates" max power whilst wearing my Mrs's underwear

who can remember a product called "turbo zet"
it was advertised in maxpower " i was reading a mates it wasnt mine" !!!
this was a few years back mind,
any how it was a turbo charger that could run off a 12v battery using some super technology they cost a couple of hundred quid, max power did a little review of it saying it was awsome, or somthing along those lines,
somebody bought one and showed it on a forum and said " it was shit" so he took it apart then posted the pics on line, guess what was underneath the posh casing...................?
two 12v PC fans! lol that was it bugger all else!
