Mine is right after where the bend finishes on the elbow. Probably about 6" from the turbo too. Been like that for 4 years with no problems.

There are two types Ive been told, Wide band and Narrow band, mines a wide band and should not be to near the heat, yours is somthing like.. Will wait a bit to see if there are any other Ideas.. Thanks guys.. Alan Main Build

Ive read instrutions and it deff- says no nearer than 18" from the top of exhaust, my turbo is T3 with metro down pipe Main Build

also re the heatng of the sensor, they do take a while to heat,

18" from the top of the Exhaust (whatever that really means?) is bollox. When you get a chance, look at any modern VW where the lamda sensor is placed!! Its alot closer to the engine than 18" On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

Saab GT17 downpipes have the labmda about 4" from teh turbo on the first bend. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

IIRC someone previously also said to make sure you put it at a slight angle so condensation can drop off. Dazed and Confused.... |
