I am in the process of cleaning up my original bulkhead sealing plate (the large black plate that sits behind a centre of the dash and runs the wiring loom through it via a grommt). The only problem is that I dont have the bolts or fastenings needed to pout it in place.

Does anyone know what thread and length they are, or have any spare?

Many thanks *happy*

Preston On The Brook

easy enough to run an M6 tap through the nuts and use a more comon M6 screw. Its not as if it's going to be carrying any load.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

My Mini is a mk1 Paul, but I did not have the car from new has I said before, so could have been done before I aquired it, if I were Billus89 I would do what Sprocket says to do, I would open it up and put an m6 tap through it, More available, can buy them anywhere.. Alan

After a lot of searching for my car... 11/32 UNF x 3/4" aka no 10 panhead screws.

11/32" ?? Surely not. That's huge!

10-32 UNF is 3/16". This is the correct size for the panel you refer to.

2BA and M5 are very close to this, so can easily be mistaken.

I was just having a look at that, thinking I had ordered the wrong bolts. Had to dig through somerford's catalogue again. It is 10-32 UNF... little typo on my part.

Hi Andy,
I used somerford aswell to get the correct screws. Safe to say that the plate is now fitted :)
