Firstly hope everyone had a great xmas! Just wanted ideas on what to do next with the mini after i lost power on the mini turbo. I think the bearings have gone as i have lost compression from the turbo and oil pressure. When i accelerate i get a mechanical noise from the turbo. The engine is okay and operates normally, although the rattle but this is deemed from the turbo. So the question is will it require a rebuild/service or should i get it replaced? Thanks for the help guys. |

New turbo time by the sounds of it. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

It may be ok to rebuild. the only way to find out is to take it out and have a look.
