Firstly hope everyone had a great xmas! Just wanted ideas on what to do next with the mini after i lost power on the mini turbo. I think the bearings have gone as i have lost compression from the turbo and oil pressure. When i accelerate i get a mechanical noise from the turbo. The engine is okay and operates normally, although the rattle but this is deemed from the turbo. So the question is will it require a rebuild/service or should i get it replaced? Thanks for the help guys.

New turbo time by the sounds of it.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

It may be ok to rebuild. the only way to find out is to take it out and have a look.

If you post up pictures of what you find there are plenty of people on here to tell you if it looks servicable or not.
