Slightly off topic, but a lot of you seem to make all manner of things. I am going to convert a discovery gearbox to fit my defender, due to decent defender gearboxes costing tonnes. I have bagged a low milage discovery for a bargain price, therefore need to convert it. This is done by making an adaptor to extend the selector shaft to accept the defender shifter remote.

I'll let you know matty, I'm gonna see if my machinist will let me occupy a lathe for a while as it would be good to be able to offer it up to the box to get the size bang on. I decided a camshaft will make a nice donar for a lump of metal, just turn a little off one of the journals and de-lobe it a bit, it'll even sit nicely in the lathe using the camshaft drive.
