Gents,

I need to get some breather pipes welded onto my rocker cover. I'm after 2 x 1/2" elbows in aluminium so that they can be welded onto my ally cover.

Just wondered if any of your guys had found a supplier or an alternative option? I've tried a search but nothing comes up.

Ive just had a quick browse, cant see anything, would it be easier to use a short straight piece with a 90 degree silicone bend, or cut a straight piece at 45 degrees and weld the two halves together?

The smallest that goes to is an inch shellspeed, thats about all you can find on the inet, nothing smaller.

It'd end up costing me about £30 for what I need though...

Docking, Pace or any of the alloy fab places can do them

They will likely be thin wall, and not ideal for welding though.

Other option is to weld on a -8 thread and use a screw on fitting.

Or drill/tap the top of the cover and screw a fitting in. ( 90deg fitting with hose tail )

but like the Concept link above, any decent alloy fabricator will be able to bend pipe like that.

speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will
