can anyone tell me when they switched over from the fixed seat brackets to the bolt on type brackets? I've done a bit of research but can't find anything difinitive and don't particulary want to sign up to the Mk1 forum for a one off question

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

You might already know this, but there is no mention of them in the cooper book I have so must be pre Jul '61. It only mentions changing to an adjustable type bracket in '64.

I'm sure I read somewhere it was only '59 and early '60 cars that had them, but can't remember where.

they are discussed on the 59 register but no mention of dates. My car is a september 60 and has the fixed brackets.
I've got the chance of getting the correct seats from someone I know; he thinks the seats are correct for his 62 car, although his doesn't have the brackets and we'd like to getconfirm

Im sure they changed in late 61
(same time as the fleck trim was no longer used), but some 62's still had them depending on there build date. Have you had a look at your friends minis build date?
