Evening gents, picked up my second mini today to have a road car again. I'll post some pics tomorrow but wondered if any one could help with the alarm.

I have no proper instructions just a crap booklet but have found the valet switch which when I played about put the red led on permanently. Alarm will not churp or flash lights.

Is there a reset I can perform?

google is your friend. But there are other search engines you could use should you choose to do so

After several hours of googling (I had already started) it appears it could be the battery back up inside the sounder. Will have a look when it gets light

So much for the battery. Nothing in the sounder or the box control box!

if the led is on all the time its in valet mode -effectively switches off the alarm. If i remember correctly, put the key back in the ignition and put it to accessory position and flick the switch the other way. it should then go off and the alarm will work as normal.

if the switch is a 3 position, one of them will allow flashing lights and chirping, the other will only have flashing lights

If you need more info, try the 12vforum - i got a fair bit on info for mine there
