They work fine for basic welds. It will weld the box no problem. Make sure it is adjustable enough to weld thinner gauge steel. The cheaper ones are less flexible. Can you upgrade to gas on this model later?

they arent really that great, i have a mig which you can use with / without gas and the quality with gas is noticablty better. the welds always seem much cleaner. it still welds alrigth without gas though

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

dan in my view they are crap!*frown**crying*

i have been welding for 30 years and can weld the whole range of applications

these gassless migs are just ok for sticking two bits of metal together full stop.....

better to shop around and put a little extra cash towards and get A GOOD secondhand one from some one who is selling up keep your eyes and ears open there is always some one

gas is the best no doubt buddy.

thats my oppinion*wink*

dan if your doing a lot of welding try and get a big bottle of gas maybe from a pub landlord or somthing the little 7 quid bottles dont really last that long

also id say get a head mask so it leaves both your hands free to steady your trigger

oh and DONT FORGET A FIRE EXTIGUISHER*smiley*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
