Saw said triangle bonnet car at L2B this with bonnet up. Looked quite cool though!

Right chaps, since my schools are shut Ive got 2 weeks off

So i thought id take advantage of my spare time. Firstly ive sorted the exhuast pipe and manifold out with some heat wrap since they are in such close proximity to the intercooler and head lamp.

Fitted a PLX wideband thanks to Matt Argent :)

Ive also installed sone great insulation/sound deadening. Which im really pleased with. Its light yet very dense and ill order some more to kit kit out the boot with too.

Ive also cut out the window winders and remove the rear quaters. I was pretty shocked at the overall weight!

Well thought id give an update on progress.

Can believe it was 2016 since I last posted in here

Between getting married and having another sprog times flown. Ive managed to make some decent progress between work and having eye balls like piss holes in the snow looking after sir chub alot, hes 24lbs and only 5 and a half months old.




Anyways back to the mini.

Had a cheeky spin up the street in it other and im very pleased with the initial setup. Its leaning off as it hits boost so need to sort the map, but everthing feels good so far. Its very pleasent to drive, the clutch isnt too heavy, and it pulls from really low down.

Ive somehow managed to fit my grill, me and a pal had a great day in the sun with a few beers saturday and got plenty done.

Installed the Mk1 Rear Conversion Plates.
Carpets in.
Wirings almost finished.

Ive took delivery of some Carbon Wrap for the roof (hangs head in shame) yes I know, but to be fair it looks good quality and will hide a multitude of sins till i can afford a full proper respray.

Need to order some placcy windows and get them installed.

Fan and Alternator to Wire in.

Arches and Bonnet to give a quick dusting of Paint.

Im hoping to be out and about in it in the next month as Ive promised to the missis and kids Drag Racing this year so its shit or bust all the way!!

Not bad for a first effort and will do til i do a full respray of the car.
