Hi, thought id open a chat about inverter welders. Have been using one at work on a waterwheel which admittidly it alot thicker metal than our minis it was great to use on both the mig and sticksettings. It made a decent clean weld aswell and has the option of tig with extra bits and bobs. Was a thermal arc one i think. Anyone use one of these on there cars?

Some can. I use an R-Tech inverter welder and its brilliant. I haven't found a use for it on the car that a mig can't do well enough yet (bodywork wise). Im going to TIG my subframe up before lightening it which should make for a neater job than MIGing it.
