15mm seems a lot. Is it beacuse you have standard rear drums and disks on the front?

If this is the case You'd be better fitting the spacered rear drums.

it already has spacerd rear drums :s i have miglia arches to fit to and the 12x6 just dont have enough poke to fill them. the fronts with the turbo brake conversion seem to fill the arches quite well but the rear is 15 to 20mm off. one of my concerns is that it will put unwanted stresses on the radius arms and sub frame on hard conering.

i suppose i could trim the arches but then the back would be a smaller track than the front.??

Cheers Rick

If the turbo brake conversion does infact increase the track by 15mm, then equalling this at the rear will be ok.

Can anyone confirm that the turbo brake conversion increases the front track?

If not, then putting 15mm spacers on the rear will lead to terminal understeer and should be avoided.

An evening with the tape measure may be useful here.

I Think it would be very usefull for checking it with the tape measure. I think I need to get all my adjustable bottoms arms and tie rod set up correctly on a laser jig first then see where I can go from there.

I really don't want to introduce under steer

Cheers will

The metro vented brake set up does widen the track a little but I don't think it's 15 mm total let alone per side.

one day boost will be mine!

I generally fit 5mm spacers on the rear as I like my rear end planted, and this helps.

Simon (madmk1) has some nice 5mm spacers for sale, these may help a bit.

Am sure if you fit metro hubs and everything it does widen it considerbly. If you do it that way 1.5 deg bottom arms are required to bring it all back in line?

I have a fully adjustable set up on the front so I think will just have to have the car set up and go from there.

I still want to fill the arches as much as possible but don't want to cut them about too much if I can help it.

Cheers Rick

Even with my 7x13s I had to trim both front and rear arches a fair amount.

Ah right they might have to be trimmed then.

Do you not recommend using 15mm spacers??
