Doing a small bore turbo project, and want to boost to come on as early as possible (200-2500) will a metro turbo (T3 i believe) be okay? or should i get a T2 type?

You'll not see boost anywhere near that with the old T3 on a 998. I believe the GT15 would be far more suited. I'm sure Wil or one of the 998 experts will enlighten you shortly.

Phil is right, T3 won't get what you want. There are a few turbos that I have used that will boost from 2k with full boost before 3k.

The GT1544 looks good on paper to boost a little earlier still, but as yet no-one has built one.
