hey lads do the 998's gboxs fit on a 1275 or a 1275 metro turbo?

No. a 1275 engine will fit on a 998 gearbox though. You just need to make sure you use the corresponding transfer case. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

The transfer gears in the box (i.e. the idler and first motion) are the same in 1275 and 998s, it's only the primary that differs.
Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph
