I need to measure the profiles of a range of performance cams for simulation purposes. I'm finding that the quoted timings and durations are way of the actual profiles and are therefore misleading.

I'm really after cams from the Kent range if possible, 266, 276, 286, 296 etc.

If you have one sitting on the shelf then I would like to borrow it for a few weeks. It will just be fitted in a block for measurement purposes.

I'll cover postage costs and add a few bear tokens.

Its a shame my 266 is in the engine paul or you could of happyly borrowed it. Ive a ph2 spare ??

I have a 286 but suppose there will be one closer to you.

If you tell me what and how you need it measured, I could do it for you.

I need to generate curves like this:



Basically need to have lift figures at least every 10 degrees and preferably every 5 degrees over the first couple of millimetres of lift.

Isn't there a list of cam profiles on the ml motorsport website by ac dodd??

ive just had a look and all i can find is scoring them from 1 to 5 over different rpm sections.

one day boost will be mine!

Also on that link there is no mention of ramp angles.

If you have patience til early-mid april i´ll have a 266 and a 276 you can borrow.

Not sure if it is interesting for your database but when I get the SC cam from VMax I will measure it too.
